Hi all!I need to buy a new hoover, dont know which one - want good one that is easy to store. One I have doesnt pick up that well , getting tired of ds picking up things on floor, having to lay playmat or blanket down for him to lay on. Any ideas?

Dysons are best for picking things up, but can be a bit pricey.

had a black and decker one for csrpets and hardwood floors it was useless and we had to replace it. Got a Dyson Animal one now its great. We don't have any animals but it was in a sale and has more hepa filters or something.

dyson came out badly in recent survey (on white goods generally, which ones still work 6 yrs later). a friend who repairs them (works for john lewis) says seebo (?sp) and miele are good, dyson less so.

i have a dyson dc-07. only thing that ever went wrong with it was that the hose is torn, but it's easily replaced.

Will have to have a look. Live in small house so got to be able to store it.

I nkow the dyson website lets you pick all the different factors you want to consider (and I think storage is one of them) and then tells you best for you

Sounds good

We have a Dyson animal and it is Mom got hers for a lot less than we paid from an online site, it is worth shopping around

Due to tiny house and extreme laziness I bought a very light and glamourous Hoover cordless thing. It is wonderful to store and is no weight at all but sadly, is not very good at actually hoovering. Better than nothing at all but you might as well get a carpet sweeper.

Just didn't want you to make the same mistake...

Henry or Miele recommended here on threads in the past.

Thanks for replies, bought one today- a vax! It is upright and very funky! Might take boredom out of housework!
