don't even know if this should be under "products".
My 5 yr dd is asking what a scooby is, and if it's a plait.
can someone enlighten me please.

not really sure what it is exactly. my ds1 brought one home from school that his 'girlfriend' had made him. its plastic 'string' (for want of a better word) that has been twisted/woven into tubes, to make keyrings etc, if they are really good at it they can cover biros etc.
it seems to be the lateste fad around, especially in girls around the age of 8-10 from what i can work out.

they are coloured thread things made of plastic that kids can weave and plait together. No idea what for!

I think they are specially designed to turn up all over the house / car / garden etc. Our DS's tend to resemble deformed slug-type things to me.

I did these when I was at early secondary school in London (I'm 35 now) but one of my friends who grew up in the North had never heard of them!

I bought a packet the other day as a sort of nostagia thing (and as a diet aid..) but alas they remain in the packet. I didn't have two young children 20 odd years ago!
