Hairdryers: Does 'Ionic' and 'ceramic' make much difference? What does it all mean??

Getting confused!

My hair is fine, straight and top of shoulder bob length if that makes any difference. Thanks!

I've got a lot of thick hair, but it always did a very good fluff-ball impression after I dried it. I thought an ionic hair dryer was a gimic, but I liked the colour and the buttons and it wasn't much more expensive - and it has actually helped a lot. When I have to replace it I'll get another ionic one.

Just one personal experience, but hope it helps

Ah thanks Tangle! (good name for a hair query threadgrin)

So it makes quite a difference. I don't have too many problems on my old one without, but I was wondering what to expect from all this Ionic malarky when I replace it with the shiny new dryer I've got my eye on smile
