Buy one of the magazines currently on sale - there is a huge urban outfitters beach bag with one of them and there is a Liz Hurley, smaller beach bag with another of them. Not bad for a couple of quid!

these laundry bags are always in our pound shop

It's not stylish, but I use a camping dribag like this- you can put really soggy stuff in there, fold the top over, and nothing else gets wet. Then you can choose whatever outerbag you like in the safe knowledge it won't get wet

I have a huge lovely beach bag from Paul Smith. It was a gift though so don't know how much it cost.

I saw a humungous beach bag in Gap the other day.

Elle has the Urban Outfitters one but I wouldn't call it huge. It is nice though - am using it at the mo.

Is this too old lady?

I think it would be pretty useful for the beach and picnics.

They have other designs too.

I used a huge blue tesco's reusable bag for the beach for 5 of us and it was great. It even has bottle holder bits at the sides inside to hold bottles and suncream upright.

Obviously not v stylish though! But pretty cheap. grin

Do they still do the Cath Kidston reusable bags at Tesco? They are a good size, practical, look gorgeous and cost about £3
