Hi. My daughter has now broken 3 of these and I keep saying I will mend them. Can I buy (and if so where) speciaal elastic/cord to thread these on and then tie. I have no idea how to mend them. Many thanks

I've used fishing line before now, it's incredibly strong and vv thin.

Have a look at [[ http://www.bakerross.co.uk/product-White-Elastic-EK522.htm baker ross]] if you want it to be stretchy.

stealthsquiggle - that looks great butI don't really need 50 m about 1-2 would be great. Don't suppose you have invested in 50m of it have you?

Hmm, sorry didn't really think! Have used fishing line in my own necklaces/beads when they've broken.

Not as yet! DS would love it if I did but I am determinedly not spending money ATM - maybe for DD's birthday party (and then DS will take over - which is fine, as DD loves nothing more than her big brother making necklaces for her)

If you were to add one of their big tubs of beads you and DD could have endless fun making more necklaces for her to break treasure grin?

Alternatively just ask at local sewing shop / John Lewis / other haberdashery department where they probably sell something equivalent by the metre.
