I'm not remotely bunting cupcake and I like it. It's in the Linda Barker catalog, which generally is full of things that would make you smirk if you actually saw them in someone's house. Here it is, what do you think?

OOH i LIKE THAT smile sorry for caps!!

Lemontart Wed 15-Oct-08 17:04:38

ooooh nice!
Got to say though, I bought an almost identical one last year from blush Matalan and it cost under a tenner. £55 seems a little steep. Mine is only 2 tier but virtually identical cream porcelain with stainless steel supports, the plate have the lacy but not too fussy edging too

I think £55 includes 6 side plates and a milk jug, the cake stand on its own is £24.50. Still a bit pricy I agree, especially if they sell identical ones in Matalan.

ooooh that is pretty

(wonder if they do a 7 tier....)

CountessDracula Wed 15-Oct-08 17:08:12

oh no
that is not good sorry
It looks like the sort of thing they would have in a hotel

I prefer this

CD, that's much to practical to be bunting cupcake. It can't even get accidently broken on it's first use thereby ruining your bunting cupcake garden party even before the rain starts. grin

MerlinsBeard Wed 15-Oct-08 17:11:27

how do you carry that one to the table though?

CountessDracula Wed 15-Oct-08 17:13:43

with your hands i should imagine

Nemoandthefishes Wed 15-Oct-08 17:14:33

Have you an attack of grannyitis???

CountessDracula Wed 15-Oct-08 17:17:53

how can you resist this little beauty!

twinsetandpalls Wed 15-Oct-08 17:21:46

I have one like that from a local store in town was £23.

twinsetandpalls Wed 15-Oct-08 17:22:56

Nemo I want that Next one. I already have three cakestands, have a complete obsession with them

LaDiDaDi Wed 15-Oct-08 17:23:21

Do they still make that eternal beay stuff?

seeker Wed 15-Oct-08 17:23:30

I've just bought one like this I am so excited!

twinsetandpalls Wed 15-Oct-08 17:24:10

I think £44 is a fairish price if it includes everything else.

bran Wed 15-Oct-08 17:25:18

Now you're just being silly CD, that really is grannyish.

I like the next reindeer one.

I wonder if my SIL would like the Linda Barker one, she's very bunting cupcake but lives in Malaysia so finds it hard to get stuff like this.

twinsetandpalls Wed 15-Oct-08 17:26:28

£55 sorry

seeker Wed 15-Oct-08 17:26:41

PLEASE look at mine - it's lovely!

twinsetandpalls Wed 15-Oct-08 17:27:21

I would love one of those seeker for dd birthday parties,

twinsetandpalls Wed 15-Oct-08 17:28:22

mumofmonsteres I want to look at yours but am getting underlined words not a link.

seeker Wed 15-Oct-08 17:28:49

I didn't realize bunting-cupcake was a category and I didn't realize that I was it, but as I made 100m of bunting this summer and I'm always making cupcakes and I've just bought a cup cake stand then I suppose I am!

onceinalifetime Wed 15-Oct-08 17:28:51

lol at CD, I agree with your first choice though - I've got those in different colours and they're good for fruit and snacks at parties as well as bunting cupcake moments. Hate the reindeer one.
