How were they fixed in the first place, YG?

Good luck if you take them back - you never know they might let you, or offer you the money to get them fixed professionally. However;

stitches don't necessariy have to show - you can blind hem on a machine, or even better, if you're handstiching, just catch the "inner" threads and keep flattening the fabric out as you go.

Tip : if you've got any short ar*e friends, they'll help you! I should know, I'm always taking stuff up

Definitely take them back. Trousers should last longer than 3 months and you shouldn't have to re-make part of them. You paid for that to be done. You shouldn't have any problems.

Sorry you cna try, but I'm not so confident that you'll get a refund without a fuss. As you have already attempted to fix them they may not be so willing to do so and it would be at their discretion after all this time. Had you gone back as soon as it happened you would have stood a better chance. Could be that they used the wrong sort of thread/tension in the first place but it may be difficult to argue now.

Good luck

agree that you should have probably taken them back before fixing them, and argued "not of merchantable quality", but they might see you having tried to fix them as a reason not to refund.

However. You could say you bought them for a specific function, and repaired them temporarily as you had no time to change when you realised they were coming down, and say you want to keep them, but would appreciate the cost of professional repair, or a replacement.

Next are usually quite good. I took something back (baby clothes) because I was cross the smocking had started to unravel, and although it had clearly been worn (slight staining around the neck area) they refunded no quibble.
