Where do you buy them? I'm proabbly going to get a chocolate wedding cake from M&S. They sell pillars for tiering and a few baubles but I was wondering where you could get other stuff? (hearts, stars not sure really) I've found a few places online but they are not that great and I will continue looking but wondered if anyone knew where you get them. Annoyingly a shop that specialised in this shut down near me 6 months ago!

or you could just lay some really bright flowers on the top (to match your bouquet)

whats a flower pick? Its ays you need one before you put them in. I suppose some sort of sharp pokey thing they sell.

yes my friend had fresh flowers on hers but we are getting married a month before and this is a post wedding party and I doubt we are getting flowers for it.

ooh my lord. what a lot of choice. I can see why I've avoiding doing this for so many years. I am having the lowest key party ever and theres still so much to do.

We got married in Italy and we had a mille feuille in the shape of a heart with 2 perfectly heart shaped strawberries on the top

it was absolutely fabulous (if you don't like traditional wedding cakes)

I am being a bit vicarious now Jane so feel free to ignore me .. but have you seen the glittery sprinkles, or the little violets under fairy cake accessories that could be quite sweet

Yes all the bride and grooms are awful , the weird dough ones are the sweetest I suppose) I had this silly thought I would buy the happyland wedding set so my son could get use of it after! (its about the same price but sadly out of stock at ELC) Although it would be a bit weird for him to spend his time playing with a vicar and a church.

I wanted to go to Italy but the paperwork seemed too much hassle so we are going to Tobermory now. Your cake sounds lovely. I can imagine ours collapsing when we put it together.

The little flowers are sweet. The glitter looks good. It all has to go with the brown of the chocolate though!

keep it simple .. it'll be fabulous

and give someone else the job of putting it together to your strict instructions (mums or MILs or sisters tend to be good for that)

We haven't got any of those really (well not in full working order) but I have a few friends who can help. One friend had her cake dropped a few weeks before and they managed to re-ice it and non one knew! I am exicted it will be the first wedding cake I will have eaten!
