What should I go for material wise? Cast iron? steel? or acrylic and why?

TIA

Thanks I thought they might also they are quite hard aren't they? and not good if a child bangs his/her head on them I suppose..

We have an acrylic one and the kids have dropped the sainless steel plug in a few times and its left marks like mini dents It also shows scratches.

I think the one we have atm is acrylic and the same thing has happened that's why I was wondering about the others. The others are definately more pleasing to the eye but then there's the worry about kids slipping and banging on steel or cast iron...also acrylic are cheaper.

The children I looked after have an enamel bath and they were all in it as babies and children and they were all fine Get a slip mat.

Yeah I reckon you're right. I grew up bathing in an enamel bath and survived to tel the tale!
