dh bought a new duvet recently - but it's very lightweight and I know it won;t be warm enough for me in winter. so i thought it was an ideal excuse to buy a nice blanket or throw. off I pop, aspirationally, to the White Co website and what do I find? who buys this stuff shock

Its looks like an itchy Pontins blanket.

I imagine it is lovely ... but not £600 lovely!

back in Real Land. which do you prefer? this or this?

kitsandbits Sun 16-Sep-07 17:26:02

Definatly the first one - looks classier

I like the dusky blue.

I think so too kits and bits. our duvet cover is blue with a brown flower pattern on it. not sure whethe rto go for blue or beige. I think blue.

kitsandbits Sun 16-Sep-07 17:29:10

Definatly blue - it will look lovely with the brown

Tbh I'd go for a woollen blanket rahter than one made from man-made fibres. Have you tried John Lewis

for example, this one

hoxtonchick Sun 16-Sep-07 17:33:37

ha ha ha at the blanket being natural on one side & ivory on the other. as if.....

AllieBongo Sun 16-Sep-07 17:33:44

the words "it's just a fucking blanket" spring to mind. what a waste of money

Tamum Sun 16-Sep-07 17:42:05

I love the "Tell a friend" button underneath it. Hey, have you seen? The White Company have blankets in and they are only 600 quid!!

hoxtonchick Sun 16-Sep-07 17:46:08

you mean you're not buying it for me tamum shock wink.

Tamum Sun 16-Sep-07 17:47:35

You'll need about 25 for your new house hoxty, so it's the least I can do

Mercy Sun 16-Sep-07 17:59:09

how about The Wool Company?

hatwoman Sun 16-Sep-07 18:14:27

[hi-jacking my own thread. hoxton and Tamum - are you going to the meet up at Christmas?]

hoxtonchick Sun 16-Sep-07 18:19:11

hello hat, no, not going. can't face all the crowds........ are you?

tamum, haven't sold the house yet sad (i am the world's most impatient person....).

hatwoman Sun 16-Sep-07 18:20:18

again, bit off topic, but what do you make of this compared to this

hatwoman Sun 16-Sep-07 18:21:04

I haven't put my name down...but it was fun 2 years ago - i might be tempted

Tamum Sun 16-Sep-07 18:24:02

[I'm not I'm afraid- combination of shyness at meeting that many people and it being an awful long way. Would have liked to meet you though!]

Tamum Sun 16-Sep-07 18:25:30

Nice, that lotus stuff!

Hoxty, don't despair, it will sell

NotQuiteCockney Sun 16-Sep-07 18:26:11

We should do a small, shy people meet-up or something?

I'm not small or shy, but I'd be happy to go along and be large and outgoing!
