Looking for a pushchair? Find out which stroller is our Mumsnet Best of 2017!
ALL the ones I have bought, the rope is so flimsy and crap! Cheers!
I think old fashioned "proper" rope is better than the plastic ropes that bend. My Dad had some rope in the shed from a boat shop that fit the bill. No fancy handles but it didn't coil and trip her up either!
You can buy them from sports shops - quite 'in' for training at the moment.
But when I was little, the best skipping rope was made from plastic washing line! Just cut a length to suit and off you go.
God, that just triggered SUCH a memory, the washing line!
right , off to attack the line now!
Habitat have some rope ones with a plain wooden handle in their childrens toy section.
