Hi everyone, I'm new to the site so hope that nobody minds too much me posting this here, I am currently undertaking a University project based around the Tesco Scan as you shop system as well the other systems provided by Asda and Waitrose.

If anyone is able and has a few spare minutes it would be greatly appreciated if you could answer the following questions.

How often do you use the system when shopping?

Do you use it for small shops or only larger ones?

How comfortable do you find the device to hold?

How easy do you find it to use?

What is your least favourite thing regarding the systems?

Are there any missing features you feel the service could provide?

Have you had any problems in using these devices before?

Do you feel the systems are detrimental to the future of supermarkets?

How would you feel about the system offering advertisements to shoppers?

Thank you very much in advance.

Most of my answers will refer to Tesco unless I say otherwise.

How often do you use the system when shopping? More often than not.

Do you use it for small shops or only larger ones? Either.

How comfortable do you find the device to hold? Fine.

How easy do you find it to use? Very easy.

What is your least favourite thing regarding the systems? Can't think of anything I'm not a fan of.

Are there any missing features you feel the service could provide? A satnav to tell me where they've moved things to! Spent ages looking for bin bags the other day as they'd been reorganising the shelves...

Have you had any problems in using these devices before? I first used them in Waitrose and it took a while to get used to. I thought I'd scanned something but it turned out I hadn't, and it was found during a random check, so after that I was randomly checked quite often, including twice when I was going to run out of parking time. That was I think the earliest technology.

Do you feel the systems are detrimental to the future of supermarkets? No. They free staff up for working on restocking and helping customers on the store floor.

How would you feel about the system offering advertisements to shoppers? If I was forced to watch an advert for a set amount of time before being able to flick past it, like some YouTube channels do, I'd be annoyed. Don't mind a banner advert that I can lose with a single click if it's not a product I'm remotely interested in or I'm in a hurry.
