Primary Schools In Hither Green/Lee/Lewisham

Hi

Does anyone know any good schools in the above areas? I live near Sandhurst infant/Junior School - does anyone know if this is a good school, the Ofsted for the Junior part is outstanding but wanted parents views.

Also, I have been told that most schools in the Lewisham Borough are over subscribed and I have twins to place! Does anyone have experience of not getting any of the schools you chose?

Any help appreciated.

brindishe is supposed to be the best one in Lee but catchment is v small.....

schools will be over subscribed, but you can email lewisham to see what the catchment area was for your chosen school last year - ie how far away the furthest child lived.

and also - if at first you don't get in, persevere - i know 2 people who have got into their first choice (John Ball) in the last week of August ahead of September start.

Thanks for these tips Gladders. I had heard that Brindish was best but I know we don't have a chance of getting the girls in there! John Ball is our choice so I will email Lewisham.
