where can i find: T-SHIRTS WITH POPPER BOTTOMS?

I havent posted on here before, im hoping you may be able to help.

DS5 is a dinky little dot and at age 3 is only in age 12-18mths. He starts nursery in september - which has uniform. Im all for uniform, and although we are going to have to alter jumpers, i cant find anywhere that does small polo shirts...

however this is not a great problem as he has additional needs (autism, GDD, non-verbal) and is still in nappies. I am keen for him to 'fit in' as much as possible (hes going to mainstream nursery) without looking more like a baby than he already does.

Ideally what is needed is a white t-shirt (or poloshirt would be wonderful!) with popper bottom to stop his nappies sliding off, adding to his 'baby image'. needed in age 12/18mth, but could manage a 1.5yrs - 2yrs at a push. anyone know where i could get some?

If anyone could help i would be eternally grateful!

TIA XXX

will vests not do? do the envelope / popper necks give it away?

am looking, hang on...

with poppers but only cream or navy I'm afraid
no poppers but white in good sizes

Gap often have them but have no UK website

Have you tried Gap? They have lots of popper-bottomed things.

Gap but no white as far as I can see

worth looking in actual shops or Ebay as I bet they do white sometimes

You can get thin white sleeveless vests with popper bottoms (eg Petit Bateau) and then put a polo shirt on top - your DS will look completely normally dressed this way.

www.rainbowbabies.co.uk

Have poppered vests up to 4 years old, and do teeny tiny (and up to 10 yrs) polo shirts in all colours of the rainbow.

Postage is very reasonable as well

Rainbow babies have t shirts with poppers, and polo shirts without in a huge range of colours, and reasonably priced

(if you went instore you may get some leftyover short sleeve ones, i had some for ds but they are summer stock from looks of it)

lynnie, that was what I meant by a 'vest'

Rainbow Babies are good for those, go right up to age 4 if you need it

many thanks for all your fantastic posts!

have had a good look at them all. THere are some good sites that you have found.

Mrs Badger, yes unfortunately its envelope necks that look babyish, even the rainbow babies have poppers on the t-shirt necks. Hes also tactile defensive (doesnt like to be touched/wear clothes) so putting 2 or 3 layers on isnt really a good option either, just as neither is long-sleeved shirts under a jumper. hanes looks good, typical looking t-shirt top but with crucial poppers, definately use those as a fall back if i cant find any polo type ones.

however i know now because of all your help that they are called : polo bodysuits!

i found: bit pricey tho

will have another look in a bit, need to go and clean carpet!

Wow well done for finding them!!

Had a quick look myself but can't find anything cheaper either

Only other place I found was
www.moimoimoi.co.uk/acatalog/PBbaby.html

which is same price

I bought DS two on Saturday from the JOJo Maman Bebe shop in Exeter. I bought 18-24 months. They were in the sale but they may have them on the website..
If you're close to Exeter you could nip in.

Definitely try Gap if you have one near you (does anyone know why they don't sell online in the UK ?) - DS had some Gap versions of exactly what you describe for that age (12-24mths)

tried Gap, but no luck.

looked at moimoimoi, but didnt look very nice quality, and had never heard of them - so plumped for "the white company", very pricey at £50 for a weeks worth, but ho hum. Did get 10% off tho!

many thanks all your help. XXX
