DD went on a country walk with the Brownies Wednesday night and she and her friends came back with a handful of flowes they had picked (mostly wild flowers but a few garden ones too.Bit {hmm} about where they came from -but still. When she got home she put them carefully in a vase of water ,then next morning sh wrapped them up carefully in a paper towel and took them to school. There her and her 2 friends made a basket out of card and sellotape and decorated it for these decidedly sad-looking by now flowers. They all made and signed a joint card and gave it all to teh teacher this morning.Did she like it asked (trying not to grimace?
Yes said DD- she cried ! (in a good way I am assuming)
So i've put the box of chocs I'd bought back in the cupboard and reflected on what a gift means!
