I know its a bit early but trying to get organised! Our 8 year olds have had a young male teacher (mid twenties) for part of this year to cover sick leave. He'll be there til summer hols and then prob leaving school, i think its only his 2nd or third post since qualifying (all temporary posts). We're clubbing together for pressie and maybe will get something like restaurant vouchers but would also like to get something 'personal'. Ideas please??!
Thanks

Can't you get all the children to write a message in a huge hand-made card and then add one of the 'thank you' i-tunes gift cards?

thanks for that, actually we are giving each child a sheet of A4 card to write/draw something on and we'll put them in a binder with class photo, but i thought maybe something for his desk in future jobs. Maybe not quite as naff as a 'best teacher ever' paperwieght type of thing but along those lines....
Has any teacher ever been bought anything useful/welcome along those lines?

A cool looking mug (eg one of the Penguin ones or something of that ilk) with some decent instant coffee or herbal teabags, nice biscuits and a decent but not too expensive (too easily lost) ballpoint pen?

What about a nice watch, will remind him of the children when he looks at it.
