mabye they don;t want to exclude her so have sent the work home?

closed question i think is one that can only have a yes or no answer

LIZS Fri 05-Jun-09 18:58:23

Closed questions have a yes or no answer , not much help to you really though

TheFallenMadonna Fri 05-Jun-09 18:59:20

Closed is yes or no or one word answers.

So not 'what did you do with the bee-bot?', but 'did you enjoy playing with the bee-bot?'

Yes or no answers to closed questions. Can she indicate yes / no?

Maybe they want to put a little display up so as to be inclusive?

can she indicate yes or no?
difficult to know what to ask when you don't know what it is, giving you the questions would be more sensible.

I think beebots are electronic things that you can tell to go in different directions using different commands, or something.

might find info here

good explanation for parents here

Or just tell the school to naff off!

time to home ed again?

A bee-bot is a floor robot that you program using its buttons to give a sequence of commands & it then carries them out - so you might press buttons telling it to go forward a certain distance, turn right & go forward again, or you can put in a sequence that will make it follow a path on an activity mat.

Riven - I used to dread the news thing.
Little Johnny what did you do? Ooh we went to a museum and then listened to Bach, then we played tennis and ate out in a Greek taverna.
Little Litchick what did you do? Errrr, watched Star Wars.

Beebots are acually seriously cool and a very useful learning tool - they are brilliant for learning about co-ordinates, and that sort of stuff.

"Barnaby Bear went down the docks on Saturday night. He earned 50 quid. That's 25 for us and 25 for the PTA."

when we had banraby we took him to legoland (we were going anyway for ds1's b'day) and left him in the car. ds1 refused to put that we left him in the car and refused to lie and say he went round legoland. So our barnaby write up actually had NO mention of poor barnaby.
pissing stupid idea.

grin at your Barnaby Bear suggestions!

The weekend we had Barnaby we were going to Lapland. I was rubbing my hands together thinking how nifty that would be.
We forgot the camera.
We eneded up taking a photo of him in our garden, in the rain, which didn't have quite the same Kudos.
