Spelling app that will say the words

DD needs to do spelling practice and we've no hope if it's on paper, slightly more chance if it's on an app.
They use Purple Mash and you can make your own lists but it doesn't say the words - seems a bit pointless since they will test her by reading them out.
Any ideas, hopefully free and iOS!
Thanks

SqueeblesSP lets you add the words you'd like tested and record yourself saying them. The app then plays your recording of the word back to them. It also has set lists of words arranged by Key Stage etc.

Are there any spelling practice apps there? They look like text to speech, handwriting, keyboarding etc.

Do you have to record the words for Spelling Shed?

No, you do not have to record the words for Spelling Shed. You type the words in, and they are read out by the computer. You can make your own lists if you want to. There are several levels of difficulty. My children are not keen on it to be honest. I know that most of their classmates love it though.

@drspouse I’ve used it for spelling interventions a few times and children have always made an improvement, hope it helps.

Thanks, it doesn't have all the words on DD's list but given she is currently getting zero, any more words than that is an improvement. They are not following any recognisable pattern either so we're just going to do what we can

I used to input DD2's spelling list into Spelling Shed so she could practice them that way - worked well. Now her school do it set centrally and they're ridiculously competitive for who can get the top score and waste points on changing the hair on their avatars!
