Has anyone pulled back out of year 6?

My daughter returned to year 6 on 1st June and is fine but not loving being back. She was much happier when she was at home and her brother is missing her.

Has anyone tried going back but changed their mind? And do you think you'll definitely stay right to the end of term?

I guess it's not long now but I'm wondering if she would be happier at home again.

My daughter has had a few wobbles after initially loving going back. But I just think that if I were to take her out again it would give the impression that school is optional and hopefully soon it won’t be!

Honestly if she's happier at home I'd keep her home for now. Usually I'd be the first to say that school isn't optional but it will probably feel very strange for now and they won't be doing any learning!

Wish my Y6 could go back. Even one day a week would be something 😢 why is your Y6 not liking it? Is it the group she is in?

Thanks for your replies. I think she just prefers being at home and finds it hard that we are all at home apart from her. She sees her brother taking it easy as we are rushing around in the morning and think she's somehow taking it all a bit personally!! She's ok with her bubble but missing everyone being together.

Yes that was similar to my dd’s wobbles too-part of that has been solved by ds now going back too! We are very lucky.
I’d give her plenty of 1:1 time in the evenings and weekends and definitely play down anything you’ve been doing at home without her.
It’s not long until the Sumer holidays now and who knows whether they will be back full time in September so I’d encourage her to make the most of her last few weeks of primary.
