my chldren will have their year book form school, but also at home I have some photos from school years - Shall I bu a scrap book and paste them there or a photo album? the problem is that these photos are of different size, so photo album is probably not going to work... what do you think? how do you organise memories from school years?

If you can scan them and you can afford it you could do one of those photo books (from photobox or similar) online. Why not ask the other parents if they also have photos they could send you of class events (plays/sports days/parties etc) to include for your child.

Oh dear, this is putting me to shame. Sounds lovely, but is this more for you, rather than the kid? I slways think its the scruffy bits that hold most memories, rather than a shiny photo album. I'm not that organised, I've just used a box file for each year and put (stuffed) everything in the file that has come home. Loose sheets of work, letters, pictures, award cards, bits brought back from trips. Then at the end of each year, said box file joins the others in a plastic crate in the loft, for that child. This school year, I wasn't even organised enough to set up new box files for each kid, as I hadn't got round to buying more ( i used the plain cardboard files that you buy flat and make up, not fancy box files) . However, as it seems kids will miss about half of this school year and as more letters are sent electronically, I still have room in last year's files. Seems this will be more telling of this year's history when they dig them out of the loft in years to come.

I bought a couple of multi-photo frames, and filled them with photos from primary school. DS has them on his bedroom wall.

My dc are all adult now.
One of them is working through sorting / updating all my photos and photo albums for something to do, during the time they are furloughed.

I've just got any photos within the normal photo albums for that year / couple of years, not separate ones for 'school' / 'cubs' / 'football team' / 'family events' / etc.

The little framed school photos that don't fit, are all in a box alongside the albums, in date order.

I think you are just creating work for yourself in trying to create scrap books, separate from that.
