Ours are 5 minutes and it doesn't seem long enough.

How long is normal?

10 and it’s pretty strongly enforced.

Ten minutes at ours, spread over two evenings as 30 per class!

5 mins seems tight unless the message is - all ok, nothing worth mentioning!! In which case, what’s the point of having a meeting?

I think it's 5 minutes at ours.

30 children in the class and a 3hr-long parents evening means that there probably isn't time for much more than that.

ours are five minutes long.
it's clearly not enough, as we always ask for one of the later slots because of work, and invariably have a 20-60 minute delay.

Fifteen mins at primary plus five mins before hand to get absorbed in their work books.... before sitting on really really small chairs Smile

10 minutes.

Unfortunately the teacher always seems to use 8 of those minutes talking through the kind of work the class has been doing. Next time I’m going to start with “hi, so what is my DC doing well at and struggling with” as that’s what I really want to know...

10 minutes and you're Allowed to go on time and interrupt those taking over their 10 mins (I don't think anyone does though). We have an infants school and separated junior school and each yr is a three form entry so it's over two nights as well.

10 minutes here. If you have a pressing problem you can always talk to the teacher during the week. P/T meeting are just a brief summary.
