School curriculum - England vs Scotland

Hi there, could anyone please advise on the differences between English and Scottish primary school curriculum? The kids are in Yr 2 and Yr 3 in England (youngest in the classes) at the moment and we are told they will be P2 and P3 in Scotland (will be oldest in their classes). I had a look at the Curriculum for Excellence and it seems that they will have to resit the same year if we move. Does anyone has experience with moving schools from England to Scotland? What's your view/opinion?

You could try asking in the Scotsnet section if you don't get an answer here? It's full of Scottish people who may be able to answer you.

Can you tell ua tbeir birth month and year? This would help. However there is not a firect correlation between P2 & Y2 for example so I wouldn't consider it 'repeating' a year, just going into the correct class for their age.

One is in May the other one in June, the cut off in England is September, so they started school at 4yo, in Scotland the cuttoff is January, so they would have to wait a year. Hence, it sound like the "correct" class in Scotland would imply a year of repeating what they have already done in England.
