Should I send him to school?

DS very suddenly seemed to develop bad croup over the weekend. He's lost his voice and is very pale and washed out, and has the terrible cough. Sounds like he has a lot of mucus/liquid choking him when he coughs on top of the bark, and a very slight temperature. He had some breathing difficulties over the weekend and you can hear every breath he takes with the stridor noise.

He's just started reception and I erred in the side of caution and kept him off yesterday, but unsure what to do today. Don't want to be too PFB but also don't want him to be made to run about etc.

WWYD?

Poor lamb needs to be at home getting better. No doubt about it.

If he's not feeling well, you should keep him at home. No point in making him sit through a whole day at school if he can use this time to relax and get better. I hope he feels better quickly.
