First time posting but hoping for some ideas about how to manage the school run.
Eldest daughter has just started in our local school, which is a 1.1 mile walk. We tried walking her first couple of days but she struggled with the distance.
My other daughter is in nursery which is not really in the same direction but nearer (we were walking to nursery previously with both of them which was about a 20 minute walk) .
My husband has been walking the youngest to nursery while I drive half the way to school and then walk the rest of the way to avoid the village traffic but this isn't really doable long term as dh is supposed to start work at 8am but isn't starting until about 8.45.
My ideas are putting them both in the pushchair and dropping youngest at nursery first, but it's heavy pushing both and it's an hours journey there and back and then I need to come home and walk the dog.
Or drive to nursery leave the car there and walk from there.
Or get a scooter for eldest although she's not ever been very into using one.
Any other ideas, am I making this more complicated than it needs to be?
