Hi, we are trying to decide between Brookland and Garden Suburb for my son who will be starting reception and a daughter who is looking to get an in-year place in the junior school. Unfortunately we don't know enough to make a decision.

Can any parents with local knowledge share your experience or views on the two schools? What are the strengths and weaknesses of each? How do they compare in terms of academics, quality of teaching, and activities? Thank you very much.

If you have places at both schools , then brooklands without a doubt. However very difficult to get in there, people move miles for a place there

I don't know the schools personally but like looking at data.

It looks like Garden Suburb has more average intake but better teaching leading to high value added. Brookland has more able intake and better attainment but the progress isn't all that.

I'm surprised anyone would move (especially miles) for either but they are decent.
