Confidentiality

Im concerned about confidentiality at my DS primary school. I heard some very private info about the circumstances as to why some kids were taken into care. It could not have come from the children themselves. Could it have come from anywhere else than the primary school staff? Maybe it was the foster mum?
I'm concerned as I also have issues I want to keep private. They are not major issues, but I feel that if something as significant as this is leaked it's worth bringing up with HT.

Who did you hear it from? Is it just common knowledge, as these things often are in school yards?

Why were they telling you? And is it absolutely, verifiably, the truth?

Because it is vastly more likely to have come from the children or people who know them, than the staff.

I think it depends where you heard it from. It could easily be that the kids' friends' parents were aware of what was going on and gossiped about it. I think it's very unlikely it was spread via the staff at the school that would be incredibly unprofessional.

It was a mum. The way it was said, it sounded like a teacher has said it. The kids age spoken about how down things, but this was the specific day that led to the kids were taken into care. They had only been at school a few months, no play after school, etc. I don't think the mum ever spoke to anyone tbh.
I guess it's possible they were told by the police etc as to what had happened?

Sorry spellcheck! Grin the kids had spoken about a few things, like not having dinner, etc.
