Moving to Hartford Northwich - schools advice please!

We will be moving to Hartford in March. I have no idea about the primary schools in the area Confused. Hartford Manor and Hartford primary have places but I'm not sure which one to go for. I have 2 sons aged 9 and 6 and my youngest displays some dyslexic tendencies so needs some extra support. I can't really find any information about the schools online. I'm not so concerned about the oufsted reports but would like any information about SEN provisions or sports facilities and friendliness etc. What about other schools in the area? Cuddington also has places. Thanks in advance!

The first thing to say is that the LA (cheshire west) will say that all schools are capable of handling pupils displaying dyslexic tendencies and that there is no way that the LA will allow an EHCP or extra funding on the basis of dyslexia only. So it does come down to which of the schools you think will suit your youngest child better.
You say there are places in both schools but I would check again with the schools, especially for younger child who will still be infant class and with the PANs of the school, the infant class size regs will be pertinent if they full in the year group. There is also a stack of new housing going up all around Northwich so as soon as you have exchanged contracts you need to be talking to the LA admission team about school places,do not wait till you have actually moved in.

Great! Thank you for the tip. The new housing will certainly put a strain on school places.
