Progressive state schools in Edinburgh?

Hello, we will be moving into the area next year and have three young children to register. I'm trying to sort out what catchment to try to get into (I do realise that it may be difficult to get exactly where I go as I understand there are issues with housing availability and over-subscription but I'm just looking to get an idea of where to aim for). I am looking for a state school with more progressive policies (later school start time, no homework in primary school, etc.). Are there any heads that are trying to (or have successfully) implement these sorts of policies?` I'm pretty keen to get the kids in somewhere where the school is open to trying new strategies based on new research.

Hello Ealasaid,
I know your post is over a year old but we are in the same possition now (willing to move to Edinburgh with three children and looking for progressive schools). Did you find what you were looking for? Please share your info, it would be super helpful! Thanks

@mamitatralara - you might get more of a response if you ask in the Scotsnet topic Smile
