Online maths site/app for Y1?

Looking for a maths website or app for my 6yr old in year one. Any thoughts on Maths Whizz, Mathletics and DoodleMaths and Maths Factor?

School use Education City but we don’t have home access at the moment. We have used Squeebles and BBC bite size but what I want is something that will actually teach and assess rather than just provide games or exercises.

I like doodle maths personally.
But none of them substitute actually writing stuff out. I consider them to only be supportive aids really.
My kid likes collecting the stars and does it 3-4 times per week. Once the reading is very good then you don’t need to help at all.

She’s doing a free trial on doodle maths this weekend and seems to enjoy it, also trialled Maths Whizz and liked that too but that’s pretty expensive, just wondered if there’s anything else to consider

Sumdog is good. We use it in the school I teach in.

My kids get mathletics through school but I’ve actually gone and bought some maths workbooks instead. Couple of reasons - 3 kids, one computer - it just makes for war. They also just aren’t dexterous enough with the computer/mouse yet so it’s v frustrating. It’s much easier to see where they have gone wrong/help them have another go on paper. Good star stickers! There were plenty of rubbish ones in Waterstones but I bought a DK maths KS1 (age 5-6) maths made easy book and scholastic maths practice book for year 1 which seem to be pithed at the right level (I want easy to reinforce class learning, not so much anything stretching at this point) and have questions written in a way that a yr1 can read and understand them themselves. So far, bug hit. We do a couple of pages ona Saturday morning mainly as they don’t get kuchcbmaths homework and they seemed to have regressed in their level of maths.

Targeting maths is a good app. It's a Blake Education one.

Apparently, so I'm reliably informed by my 6 year old, you get a lot of the squeebles apps if you have a fire for kids subscription on kindle fires lots of people have for their kids. Doesn't stop mine playing shite like "fluffy bunny hair salon" for hours at a time when given the chance.

My year 1 kid is struggling a bit with sumdog and navigating it relatively independently (but she has some SEN issues), my year 2 kid is fine on it (and horrendously overcompetitive!)

Rather than relying on apps try doing some practical maths using resources such as counters, dice, beads etc. In the first stages of learning, concrete resources should be used, then pictorial then abstract. Too many apps allow children to guess rather than really understand about number. Numicon is a good practical resource that schools use if you’re able to buy some.
