My 10 year old wants to learn to type, not to be amazing at it but to be quicker and more efficient. As a child with handwriting issues due to hypermobility this is potentially something she will have to do in the future anyway so whilst she is keen I would like to encourage her.

Are there any good free download programmes for this for her sort of age?

Thank you

Dance Mat Typing on the BBC website is good - the voices of the different characters are irritating as fuck to adult ears, but it's accessible enough my 6 year old's been doing it from choice lots of half term.

My ds learned to type with this site.

typingclass.co.uk/index.html

But he got really good by doing coding, writing story on pc, doing research homework on pc etc, more practical way than just practice typing.
