The teacher said DS1 (year 3) is ARE2 in maths and should be working at greater depth after xmas. What does ARE2 mean? I have Googled it but no joy. Many thanks.

A.R.E is achievement against age related expectations.

No clue about ARE2, our school only tells you working below, working towards, working at, working above.
Assume it must be working at, since next step is working above = greater depth.
