Where do you donate your kids old uniform or what do you do with it?

I've got 2 school skirts, her old nursery jumper (age 2-3) and 2 long sleeved polo shirts my 4yr old has just grown out of and shirts that are in 3-4 years. I've always handed My eldest children's uniform to friends if it's in good condition but I can't think of anyone who would want DD's uniform as I doubt it would fit any ideas of what to do with it?
Thanks!
I've also got black tights in age 2-3 and age 3 if I could donate those anywhere? They have barely been worn as she only wore them to a few events. I am sure they would count as school uniform.

Perhaps the pta of the school? Ours do second hand uniform sales.

I haven't seen one at youngest DC's school but I'll double check. Thank you.

I took a load into the school office earlier today. Washed and folded it and it's in great condition. It belonged to my youngest so I don't have anyone to pass it to. I also pass some stuff on to a friend with a DD a couple of years younger than DD

A chairty shop local to the school. They usually have logo jumpers for local schools, and non logoed general stuff.

Our PTA collects and sells on secondhand uniform, plus everything unnamed left in lost property at the end of each term. 50p to £2 per item depending on what it is / what condition it is in. It is a decent money earner, and has been a godsend to a lot of our parents.

My Dc's school organise a collection of unwanted/outgrown uniforms and send them to a school in Africa (can't say where as outing). Might be worth having a word with the head/pta to organise similar?

Nursery might be glad of the tights for spares for when the little ones have toilet accidents, I use to give outgrown pants to pre-school and infants school for their spares box. Also, our foodbank accepts school uniform in good condition.

Ask at the school office.

Most schools have a stash of spare uniform for emergencies, and to support families who can't/won't kit their kids out properly. Some slso hold 2nd hand uniform sales, usually at the summer fair or similar.

IME nurseries are always grateful for outgrown underwear, socks and tights.

Our PTA run a second hand uniform sale so most goes there. Parent have also set up a facebook group and I often see uniform offered on there too.

Tiny stuff I handed to the reception teacher, she was glad of some extra spares, those which go home on kids rarely make it back.

I'd ask at the office - they will know if there's a secondhand sale or if the Reception teacher would like some spares in case of accidents.

I just give to the R/Y1/Y2 teachers - they always need spares in case of accidents/parents who can't wash/buy enough uniform/new kid not in uniform can blend in instantly. It's not worth selling once two kids have worn it out.

My ds's nursery appreciated donation of good quality second hands, they need lots of spares. School asks for donation for second hand sales as well sometimes, but it's a big school, they seem to get enough supply easily.
Also I've asked local charity shop if they take school uniforms, they said they really welcomes it, since it goes so quickly.

I gave it to the school to use in nursery spare clothes bin as well as DS' old wellies and an old nativity costume.

I always give to school. Smaller things are kept in R/KS1 for accidents. Bigger things are sold at second sale with profits to PTA. Win-Win.

I give old uniforms to the school. They do a second hand uniform sale twice a year, and I believe some uniforms are given out free to struggling families.

Amongst the parents of your DD's class do you know any with a little boy in that class and then a younger girl? They would very likely appreciate your DD's outgrown uniform. :) Unless the little girl doesn't do girl clothes. LOL!

Thanks everyone, I think I'll drop the tights of a her old nursery. I'll ask if they have a second hand uniform shop and if they do I'll donate the skirts and polo shirts.

If the school doesn't do a second hand uniform sale then Freecycle may take it.

We have a FB parents page and a uniform selling page where most people offer things on there for free or cheap. DC wear the same uniform in nursery and Reception but change for Y1-Y6 so I will most likely offer the nursery and reception classes the old stuff after this year.
