Does anyone know if ties still fit with those open necked shirts. Dd always gets hot and itchy with the usual collar and tie was thinking about trying to get some alternative shirts but wondered if anyone has managed to fit a tie with them. I assuming it would just hang a bit lower?

Assuming this is a primary school (as in primary school topic) so they won't be as hot on "exact" uniform as in secondary school, how about just not doing up the top button and not tying the tie too tightly ?

Or change to a school that doesn't require a tie smile

I usually do do that but ask have to buy new shirts anyway I was just wondering if it would work.

Changing not an option the only one I'd switch to has ties also grin

It would look silly. My Dd's have always had to wear a tie. I always buy a size bigger so the necks aren't so tight.

No I don't think they would work. My 2 just leave the top button undone on their shirts

I shall scrap the idea then. I always buy a size bigger too except the jump between the 9and 10 was huge last time so won't be possible this time. I'll just carry on as I was doing then.

if the school dress code allows for open necked shirts - check before purchase - then you DO NOT wear a tie with them.
