Considering it for DD(5). I live about a 20-minute drive away.

Any information very gratefully received. Thank you!

No experience of St Albans but have a child at Kings Hawford and we have been very happy with the school. They are part of the same foundation. Hawford is very outdoors and ideal for children who love sport. St. Albans is next to the senior school and uses many of their facilities whereas Hawford has country feel to it with much more space. Wealth of clubs and activities at no extra cost.
Arrange a visit during the school day to get a feel for the school.
St Albans has a new headmaster, but he previously taught at the senior school so is not new to the foundation.

Thanks so much for the info – much appreciated! I’ve just been to visit and was impressed by how friendly, polite and engaged the pupils were. And how professional and also approachable the staff were, without exception. Absolutely delightful. I could really see my daughter being happy there.
