We are counting down to Tuesday here. DS has a definite preference, we all have the same preference for a school to avoid, but DH and I not fussed too much other than that. DS is a bit twitchy about it all, as are a few of his mates. How's it going with your Yr6s?

It's not that bad! But just like they mysteriously grow up a notch when they start Reception (which can come as a surprise) you will need to brace yourself for them doing it all over again in year 7.
Hmmm- my response would be understandable, but I teach in upper KS2! I've stroked many parents' hands as their babies go to big school. But it was never meant to happen to my baby! <wails>
