Nativity play - costume moan (effing white trousers)

My (4yo, summer baby) son is an angel in the school's nativity play.

His school have sent a note home asking for us to send in a white tshirt and pair of white trousers (or tights/leggings - I assume for girls?) by next Friday.

Unsurprisingly white trousers for 4 year old boys aren't terrifically popular. All I can find is cricket whites (which are £££). I've tried looking for pyjamas, at least that way he will get more that one wear out of them, but no joy.

Another annoying thing is that he hates being the focus of attention so I fully expect him to be hiding in the background. So far he's been refusing to attend rehearsals (I have a sneaking admiration for him here). If they can convince him to get on stage it'll be a Christmas miracle!

Anyone got any suggestions / ideas where I can get trousers from? I had a baby 11 days ago so online ideally!

I would just get him white tights for a couple of quid or a pair of leggings for a fiver from primark or the supermarket tbh, no point spending a load of money on something he won't get the use out of.

Someone you know must be going past a supermarket soon?

White thermal leggings? Try m and s or decathlon.

We had this last year and quite a few of the parents of boys just sent them in in white t shirts and pale grey tracksuit bottoms.

I had the same problem when my son was at nursery. I asked another mum if I could borrow a pair of her daughter's white trousers. ( girls always seem to have summery, white, trou).

Camouflage must be a nightmare!

I got the F&F leggings Katz found, and found two white tees for £2 in the PE kit section. Job done!

I have no idea, camouflage seems very strange. Kings and shepards are wearing usual nativity garb.

Anyone who spots any camo gear, please give me a heads up!

Actually the dinosaur ones look more like camo than the actual camouflage ones!

I ripped an old white bed sheet and made him by hand a pair of trousers & used the elastic band from an old pyjama trousers. Job done in about 30 minutes.

Can you cut up an old white sheet or two pillowcases to make a basic pair of trousers with elasticated waist?

I've got several pairs of white troysers & leggings but they would be suitable for about age 7-8 onwards

Don't know what's doing on with these links. Sorry. That was an eBay onesie.
