Reading levels/book bands in infants (I know I know)

Ok, so straight up I am going to say I am a TA but I work in a junior school so don't know anything about expected achievement in infants.
I will also say I know my daughter is bright but not super bright so this isn't a "I don't know if my child is doing ok they can only (insert super brilliant thing here)" type thread.
I am genuinely interested in how much they reading expectations have been raised for year one children with last years curriculum changes.
My very average DS is now in year 5, who by the end of year 2 was a level 2b reading and bringing home gold book band. I was surprised to see therefore that DD first day year one has bought home a purple book band book, obviously levels are no longer relevant.
As I said I know my DD is bright, so I don't want "she's doing really well" comments. I just wondered if anyone could tell me what the expected book band is for start and end of KS1 now, as on the old curriculum DD would have been ahead but I assume (based on what we teach in KS2) is much closer to expected. Most of my son's class, who have just started y1 are on orange, pink or green books I think. My DS is gold band and is regarded as above average, even now assessment criteria has changed. I don't think, to be honest, there's much difference in book bands after assessment change. It's the criteria in which their understanding of diff texts are assessed rather than their reading. 'Book band'. I'm a primary teacher, if that helps ??

Book banding doesn't match up with the content of the new curriculum as it uses a system based on the old searchlights / multi cueing method.

Having said that my good Y1 readers last year started the year on the equivalent to white/lime band.

To give you an idea of the range of levels in my class, these were the children's bookband levels at the end of Year 1 (last term).
1 on blue
4 on green
2 on orange
3 on turquoise
6 on purple
3 on gold
9 on white
1 on lime

Well my DS is orange in an affluent area and he's well above average. My DD was this level too 2 years ago and is currently reading Matilda. Mumsnet schools are not representative I'd say!
