Book recommendations for 6yr old DS?

Hi, I need some recommendations for my DS, that he can read alone. He is white band reading level at school. I'm looking for small chapter books and he had read quite a lot of the Horrid Henry series, which he loves, also a couple of the easier Roald Dhal books. He is into pirates, dinosaurs, space etc (typical boys stuff??!). Books which have short stories to read before bed would be good as he gets bored with long chapter books.

Thanks!

My 6 year old is currently loving these.
About 100pages per book, but print is big and lots of pictures. The first day they arrived he sat down and read 4 of them.

Also, the Monster and Chips books, these are longer, but split up well with lots of pictures.
DS is only reading stage 9 (gold) so think they should be fine for someone on white.

Looking on Amazon there are loads of 'My hamster is a...' books. I have 7 year old and 5 year old and they both enjoyed the astronaut one. 7 year old read it to 5 year old.

The author of the Judy Moody books has written a series about Judy Moody's little brother - Stink. They are currently available on the Book People. They have lots of illustrations but if they are like Judy Moody, will be well written and funny.
