Hi

I know this has been asked many times before and I've looked through past threads for inspiration but I'm still a bit clueless!
My DS was diagnosed with leukaemia in reception and is now in Year 2 and about to leave the school as it's infants only. I want to get the teachers/TAs something a bit special to say thank you for looking after him so well while still helping him achieve his best in between all the hospital visits. Any ideas for personal/special gifts that aren't too cheesy but will say how grateful I am?
I also want to get the office staff something nice for being so helpful - what's a nice generic present I can get them? My kids have all been through the school over the last 10 years so they deserve something!

Thanks :)

A handwritten letter on beautiful paper to teacher & TA saying what you've said in your post, with some nice words and a picture or poem from your DS?

My DH has kept all the personal letters he has received over the years.

For the office staff, perhaps something edible and shareable - given to them before the last day of term so they have time to eat/share!

If any use, I bake pretty cupcakes for the staff room, a few days before the en did term and, if a female teacher , buy a pretty cup and saucer and put their cake in it, and cellophane it. Our staff walk around with drinks at break and the saucer is quite handy for spillages

And handwritten note from you and child always nice

Ceramic thermal mug with a lid. We're not allowed hot drinks unless they have a lid and tea tastes different in a plastic mug.
Seriously though just a letter or card means more to me than wine/chocolates. I have every single thank you card from parents/pupils and look at them when I'm having a bad day and remember that I do make a difference.

Have a look on Achica, they have a gorgeous selection of Roald Dahl prints at the min - tea towels start at about £8 and prints go up to about £30 ??
