Don't suppose anyone has the Biff, Chip & Kipper Stage 4 book The Storm hanging around do they?

DS2 has been working his way through these books and we only had The Storm left to read which we were planning to do this weekend. His teacher has moved him to Stage 5 today and made him change it for a stage 5 book so neither of us will ever know what happened in that story. DS2 is quite upset about it so can anyone give me a precis? Based on the other books, I am assuming they just go out in a storm and not a lot happens Wink

That is great, so that is how they find the magic key Grin

Why don't you just ask if you can borrow it as a bit of background reading?! It's one of the ones that neither of my two read but I only found out about it when I was listening to reading a couple of years ago - I was quite glad to know how they found the key!

We read that a few days ago and it was decidedly weird .. They find a chest hidden under the roots of a tree and in it there is a key. Then they go to bed... What?

I see now that apparently that key ties into some future stories - that explains it!

Now they have found the magic key, there are lots of magic adventures........

Fun at first but a little bit tiresome at stage 9......

I was a bit disappointed that the teacher wouldn't let DS2 bring the book home along with the first Stage 5 book so he could finish the story - DS2 said he asked her and explained that would hadn't read it but she clearly didn't take any notice!

The school only introduced these books partway through DS1's infant years so he was already on stage 5 and started with the Magic Key book which I had always assumed was the first book of the whole series! Now I know how the key arrived Wink

I'd put a note in the reading journal saying that you know he's moved up a stage, but he'd like to read the book in which they find the magic key, especially given the fact that it's going to appear in so many other books. Could she send the Storm as an extra book next time please? You'd have to be quite a hard hearted teacher not to agree to that I think!
