Hello, We are moving to Liphook on April next year and are considering putting our 5yo DS on Royal School Haslemere. Does anyone have feedback about or any other independent school in the area?

Thanks

Alessandra

My 2 DDs both went to the Senior School and both flourished there. The school is very caring and focuses on developing the whole child, and ensuring they reach their potential.

The Junior School also has a good reputation - and the Head, Mrs Hirst is lovely, and excellent with the children. I would highly recommend it..

It's a very distinctive model, the diamond model that the Royal school run. There are lots of other schools in the area to consider that all offer a slightly different model to consider.

We have considered it but decided it isn't established enough for boys yet.
I believe they are getting a new head next sept so that is something to watch in terms of what school they come from and what ethos they bring.

By the way... we are also considering St Edmunds (seems a very family orientated traditional prep but a bit ecentric), Haslemere Prep (very traditional boys prep), Amesbury (co-ed and less down to earth it seems), St Hilary's (boys up to 7, lots then move to Aldro, seems very cosy and nurturing but high standards) and Lanesborough (boys prep, very academic, although limited by place availability).
