Nc level for adding and subtracting multiples of 10?

Such as 779 + 40 and 832 - 50

What kind of level is this work? it is set out in word problem form involving speed and height such as 685km/h 50km/h faster =

The problem solving part and working what sum you need to do is the hardest part. I think that the question would be definately juniors. One the child has worked out the sum that they need to solve then the last part is often quite easy.

I think you might have a question like this on a year 6 SATs paper designed to assess children who are between level 3 and level 5 in maths.

My L3 DD can do what you have described in your OP if I have read it correctly.

She can certainly do the first two questions and I'm assuming your last part means "a vehicle is travelling at 685 km/h. How fast would it be going if it went 50km/h faster"?

If I've understood that correctly then she can do that too
