Now, now everyone, don't be mean to the OP. This is a valid question. Those ordinary primary schools seem to spend far too much time focusing on such basic things. You know, such as spelling, and the like.

Sorry. Can't help it

Good one.

Do you mean Einstein? I think your DC's school is meant to provide appropriate work for the level your child is working at, even if it means allowing them to study subjects with higher age groups.

ZombieMonkeyButler Thu 07-Nov-13 15:57:10

That has to be intentional, surely? grin

If not, and you are serious, - how old is the child? If at primary age then, no, any good primary school should be able to offer the sound academic basis that ANY child (no matter how gifted) will require.

Talkinpeace Thu 07-Nov-13 15:59:34

Sorry, I thought it was a Saith Ken question grin

has Muphry's Law struck again?

AvonCallingBarksdale Thu 07-Nov-13 15:59:58

I'm assuming you mean Einstein and that was intentional in the title grin Anyway, as others have said, primaries will cater for children of all abilities and at the age, social interaction with peers is also v important. Many junior schools have G&T programmes, so you could explore that if it turns out to be appropriate.

ShadeofViolet Thu 07-Nov-13 16:01:33

What makes you think your child has a high IQ op? How old is your DC?

Sirzy Thu 07-Nov-13 16:02:47

I know I shouldn't laugh but that title did make me titter!

But op what makes you believe your child is so bright? How old is he now?

I think you should bypass primary school and go straight to Oxbridge.

What is it about your DC that makes you think a mainstream primary would be insufficient?

magimedi Thu 07-Nov-13 16:08:13
