Hi DH has a job at the hospital, we don't know the area at all. But DD starts school next year so need to sign her up. We are not religious. Any advice about schools and where to live would be great.

TIA

Welcome
I would first suggest you look at both Kingston and richmond councils website education selection and read the primary school admissions brochure as that will make everything clear.
I assume you mean a place for reception in 2014?
Both Kingston and Rihmond boroughs are heavily oversubscribed so you need to ensure that you can live as close as possible to your preferred school to have a chance of a place look at the last couple of years cut of distance in the brochure for this information.then move closer!
North Kingston and teddington have very highly regarded schools and are close to Kingston hospital .
Latchmere,fernhill,Hampton wick infants ,collis etc

Thanks all. We are going to rent for the moment so have flexibility. We wanted the hospital as close as possible, ideally. Yes it is 2014.

Would anyone have any suggestions on how to manage - Dd 3 in Pre school here 5 days week mornings and dd 1 with nanny who does drop offs etc. I will have to pull dd1 out and somehow try and get her a preschool in Kingston- presumably these also have waiting lists?
I work FT too.

Hi , i am new in kingston area ... well new in london too. we have moved from US and trying to get a school for my 8 year old daughter. We went to the council and got a In-Year school form. We applied for 4 preferred schools in our area but none of the schools have space at the moment. She has been placed in waiting list 1 at latchmere and fernhill and waiting list 2 at St. luke. Now we are looking for schools in Richmond area and we got space in Sheen mount primary. Since my daughter is at home for 1.5 months i am also looking for private school.

Please suggest what should we do?

Hi Suhas just wanted to check which school did you get a place finally in?
We are going to move to kingston too soon and would be in a similar situation.
