Hi

We are relocating to Surrey from Edinburgh at short notice following my husbands career and I just wondered if anyone has any inside knowledge or opinions on primary schools in Ashtead Surrey? Most of the threads are out of date on schools in that area so I would like any up to date knowledge - we have been given a house by my husbands work so we can't locate to a certain catchment. Hi. I don't know the schools there but there is useful info on SCC website that will help you find them and see their admissions data for this year/last year, so you can get an idea which ones you would be most likely to get into if you were looking at a normal on time admission.

Less helpful if you are looking at older children for in year admissions, but may help you get a feel for how popular different schools are.

Thank you that is really helpful I will take a look - my youngest will start in Reception and my eldest I think will be year 3 - (as the Scottish schools run a very different system) Many thanks

eg West Ashtead primary school goes from a 1 form entry to 2 form entry in Y3. Also don't be put off if schools look like they will be full - call them as many have places declined. If you can get a place for 1 child the other will be a sibling so top of the wait list.
