name tapes- PTA fundraiser?

Just wondering whether anyone has sent home order-forms for name tags/labels for school uniform and the PTA get a % of the orders?

This seems to me to be a easy little fundraiser that may get us a bit of extra money for very little effort - but might be horribly misguided Smile

If you have - how successful and time consuming was it? Would you recommend the company?

is it cheaper ? Otherwise why wouldn't parents order directly?

If you offered to sew them on as well that would be a great fundraiser!

starfish mummy Grin aaagh that would certainly be a good fundraiser but can you imagine..........

StressyBessy22 I don't know if it would be cheaper - certainly seems to be competitive on the website that I have found. I am wondering whether people would order from the school supplied order form instead of going directly - if the wanted to - no compulsion.

We tried this with easy2name, we sent out a paper order form with the PTA welcome letter to new parents (and a farewell one to children moving up). We didn't know what to expect but got in commission on orders totaling over £100! Money for no effort really, will do the same this year.

I am a huge fan of easy2name. Have used them for years. Great products and excellent customer service.

Our school PTA gets commission with 'Stuck On You' labels. Its very easy to set up and they just send us a cheque. I like them because their labels are unusual and very appealing to kids.
