How safe is the Parentview?

We have been asked to submit our views on our school via Parentview. I do want to mention something but I am worried that I will be tracked through my IP address. Sometimes it is better if you do not say anything. Has anyone reviewed their school online? Thank you.

Hopefully you will have shared your concern with the school first.

School staff don't track IP addresses.Your email address may identify you though.

My concerns are that some teachers do not notice that they favour some pupils more than the others. Parents of those children always seem to hug with the Head but is it not unfair their children are always on school website and other photo albums.

Are you worried about your school knowing it's you? I think it will be pretty safe if its for the Ofsted inspection as I don't believe schools see the individual replies only the overall totals.
As you need to register with an email address it would be easy enough for someone with access to the raw data to track you down: Parent view staff, police etc.
I have reviewed my dd school for Ofsted and if I remember correctly you just get to answer about 8 multiple choice questions. I don't remember there being space to put any additional comments.

The school sees nothing but the results, in exactly the same format as you see if you log on. I say this as a Governor of our local school who has to look at it weekly to spot and trends. Not sure if any more can be seen at County level but if it can, it has never been discussed at any meetings.

There are no boxes for comments on parentview - only tick the box agree strongly/agree/disagree/disagree strongly/don't know for a dozen questions at most... Plus the "would you recommend your school to other parents Yes/No"

if you are under ofsted review you can put your concerns in a note to the inspectors and hand it to them in the playground.

Ok, so it sounds similar to the paper ones. I will check the form this evening. Thanks!
