Forest school with a cough?

Reception DS1 has been coughing for a few days. He idn't complaining and has no temp so has been at school. Mostly coughing in evening. Quite a lot in sleep.

On Wednesdays his year have forest school and are outside for half a day playing with mud, having a snack, making dens etc. They may have a campfire.

I am not sure about sending him to school tomorrow. Je would be ok indoors but I don't know whether all thst time outside would make his cough worse. But it doesnt seem bad enough to miss school.

Or should he go in and not do forest school? But then he is by himself for half a day. We don't know if it will be morning or afternoon, it varies.

Sorry about typos. Fat fingers and new phone.

I'd send him in with warm clothes, hat scarf and gloves. The fresh air will do him more good than stuck in a stuffy classroom.

Thanks! I don't know much about this kind of thing so wasn't sure if cold could make the cough worse or if that is a myth

The campfire could make his chest worse especially if he is prone to asthma. I would make a point of asking that he is not sat anywhere near the smoke.

My youngest coughs with asthma (in evenings and at night are worse), and his cough is made worse by cold air.

BUT, I would still let him play outside, but with a coat, hat and scarf. School know to make sure he is wrapped up.
