My daughter's class have been split this year and as her birthday is end of August she has been kept behind in year 2 whilst the majority of her friends moved on to year 3. The teacher now has a class of 28 key stage 1 and key stage 2 mixed. I am very worried as my daughter costantly complains that the work is too easy. Her sats from last May put her above average for all subjects and well above for reading and writing (level 3). I have spoken to the teacher who assures me she is giving her year 3 work but the other children who moved up have a different curriculum and are doing times tables which my daughter isn't. She was given a test today, the same test as the key stage 1 children and was very miserable when she came home. I am concerned that next year when she rejoins her old class that she will be miles behind, having been ahead initially. Any advice would be great!!
