what exactly does it involve, what qualities / attributes do you need? DS has only just started reception but a post has come up and they have asked people to apply.
now clearly i know no-one at the school at the moment and i still dont have a feel for how the school works so i wouldnt get elected even if i did apply at this time, but it has got me thinking that maybe i would like to get involved in his school life somehow possibly a bit later on. the limit of my knowledge on the matter however is watching the school meetings in corrie .
before i make a total idiot of myself by approaching the headteacher, please tell me all about it - your experiences/views/opinions on what makes a good governor. thank you
